Number Two
Bush Flip Flopped on why we went to Iraq. First he said it was about WMD. Now he says it is about spreading democracy.
More than 1,000 US troops have died in Iraq. The US has spent 200 billion dollars in Iraq. Is this cost worth it? For what? Finding weapons of mass destruction? Spreading democracy? We haven’t accomplished either. When so many lives are lost and so much money is spent, we deserve a straight answer.
It is terribly hypocritical of the Bush campaign to charge Kerry with Flip Flopping on the Iraq issue when the Commander in Chief himself can't decide why he deployed the armed forces.
Moreover, even Republican Senators have stated that Bush is misleading the public about the situation in Iraq. John McCain is quoted in an
article on Fox News.com as saying that Bush is not being “as straight as we would want him to be.”
